It is a great honour for the Schymberg Foundation to organize the second competition in the name of Hjördis Schymberg, together with the Foundation for Soloists at the Royal Stockholm Opera and the Nordic Chamber Orchestra in Sundsvall.

The competition is Nordic and invites young opera singers, under 37 years of age, in Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. Last application date is April 15, 2020. Semifinals will be held on August 29, 2020, and the final concert for six finalists will take place on February 27, 2021, at the Tonhallen concert hall, Sundsvall, together with the Nordic Chamber Orchestra.
